Electric Resonance | Original Acrylic Painting
Some colors don't blend. They vibrate against each other.
Electric Resonance is a small, square abstract painting set on a field of hot magenta. The pink-red ground shows through everywhere. It glows at the edges and flashes through the gaps between strokes, so every other color seems to sit on a live wire.
Across it, dark, heavy gestures sweep and collide. A large cobalt-blue stroke fans out at the upper left like a wing, its bristle marks visible in the paint. Black and deep navy strokes rise from the top center in jagged, calligraphic shapes. At the center, a broad curve of olive and forest green sweeps down and across the canvas like a hillside or a swinging arm, with a hint of yellow where it meets the warm amber and tangerine passages at the upper right.
The surface is scratched and scraped. Fine white lines and ragged patches of bare canvas break through the magenta, especially along the right and lower center, like static or frayed wire. Streaks of blue and navy run down the right side, mixed with flecks of orange. The mix of thick, matte strokes and sharp scratches gives the painting a raw, tactile energy.
The palette is bold and unexpected, with magenta, cobalt, olive, and amber pushing against each other. It is loud in the best way, and the dark shapes keep it from tipping over into chaos.
At 12" × 12", it is a compact piece for a shelf, a desk, or a small gallery wall, and it makes a strong companion to the other small 2026 works.
For collectors who love bold, gestural abstraction with plenty of charge.
