0515: Words | Mixed-Media Sculpture

Words are not always just words. Sometimes they are weapons. Sometimes they are the thing that remains long after everything else is gone.

0515: Words is a raw, confrontational mixed-media sculpture that gives physical form to the kind of language that leaves a mark. This is not a passive piece. It does not invite quiet admiration — it demands an honest reckoning.

At the center, 0515 drips in red paint, the numerals bleeding downward with a visceral urgency that feels less like artistic choice and more like evidence. Red and black consume the composition — colors that carry weight, heat, and history. Around the central sequence, words surface from the layers like things finally spoken aloud: DEVIL. LIAR. FAKE. HEARTBREAK. LIES. HURT. HATE. Metal letters and numbers press outward from the surface, dimensional and unyielding, refusing to be softened by distance or time.

The acrylic sheet introduces transparency into an otherwise heavy composition — light passes through it, shifts with it, plays against the layers of spray paint, fabric, and wood beneath. It is a deliberate contradiction. Something clear and luminous existing within something so deliberately dark. Depth within damage. Visibility within pain.

The combination of materials — acrylic, fabric, metal, wood, paint — creates a surface that is as complex and layered as the emotions it represents. This is a sculpture built from the vocabulary of betrayal, assembled with the precision of someone who has sat with those words long enough to transform them into something lasting.
